From a very young age, I was always interested in photography. I graduated from the NY Institute of Photography in 1968. Many of my photos have been shown in venues throughout New York and Key West, Florida. My photography is eclectic, but I love shooting birds[sic], landscapes and all nature. My art is now available on T-Shirts and other types of clothing, plus the always popular canvas and many other types of prints including acrylic, metal, and of course framed with hundreds of frames, colors, matting and sizes to choose from. Also available are printed specialty products such as greeting cards, cell phone cases, throw pillows, tote bags, duvet covers and more. I am now semi-retired working on my photography in Prattville, Alabama....

Conni, I always try to hit the butterfly conservatories wherever I go. This was the first time I ever saw anything like this. Like I've said before, they're beautiful but I wouldn't want a backyard full of them.

Beautiful capture, Bob - this moth is an Atticus Atlas, and it is a HUGE moth . . . one of the largest in the world. When I was a kid, we had an extensive collection of butterflies and moths, and we actually sent for a mounted Atticus Atlas to add to our collection (mostly ones we had captured or nurtured from caterpillars). It is a tropical/sub-tropical moth and is probably 2 - 3" larger in wing span than the large North American moths we could find, like Polyphemus and Cecropia moths.

Thanks Carmen.
